The research I've done gives a different date for each of the items above and I'm not sure if it's a reissue because of the date on the board or if the original board was replaced with a newer one the transformer says it's a "1967" is it a Frankenstein?I've enclosed pics any help/info would be greatly appreciated. The transformer code is EIA606-102 (right over it were the numbers 013691). The serial number is F106486, but right under it is the number 1860 stamped in what looks like black ink.If I'm going by Fender's support page correctly, would this amplifier be a 1961 model? If I'm going by that chart right, then this amplifier would have been manufactured in the year 1970?I acquired a fender reverb model 6G15 from a uncle that has passed and I'm trying to find out what year it is.Every number on it contradicts the others the label on the right rear lists the serial# AC17672, the tube location sticker inside has "Production ___ " with the letters ET hand written in the blank space, and on the inside bottom a black and silver quality assurance sticker which has "Electronic Test _______" and what appears to be SAM hand written in the blank and below that "Sound Test ______" with the letters IA hand written in, the transformer has "EAI 606-750" stamped in it and last but least the board has stamped on it "Copyright 1993 Fender".In order to date a Fender amp or provide the value, you need to know one of the below: * The 2 letter date code rubber stamped on the Tube Chart, or * The 2 letter date code on the QA Sticker, or * The Transformer Number that starts with “606-XX-XX”, with the 3 or 4 Xs being the unknown numbers that need to be provided by the owner of the amplifier asking the question.: The transformer number tells you when the transformer was made and not necessarily the date the amplifier left the Fender Factory, the “2 Letter” date code on the Tube Chart or QA Sticker actually tells you that and that makes it the most accurate option for dating the month and year it was made....
Instead, there were approximately 2000 of these chasses produced, which then ended up as one of the three models in question.
The Tube Chart is the most accurate as to when you amp left the factory.
